Good Food Hub – Food Relief
Joondalup Family Centre provides food relief to support local families and community members experiencing increased financial pressure, through our Good Food Hub.
No referral is required to access our Good Food Hub service.
To ensure we can support as many households as possible and manage the food available each week, we operate a weekly collection system.
How to access the Good Food Hub service
1. Complete the online booking form
If you require food relief, please complete our online Good Food Hub Booking Form below. You will be asked for some basic information to help us understand the number of people in your household and ensure we can provide appropriate support.
2. One collection per household per week
Food relief is available once per household per week. This allows us to distribute our available food fairly across the community and support as many families as possible.
Please do not submit multiple bookings or attend the Centre for additional collections during the same week.
3. Wait for confirmation
Submitting a booking does not automatically guarantee a food parcel. A member of the JFC team will confirm your collection by email and text once your booking has been processed.
4. Collect your food hamper
You will receive a text message when you are able to collect your hamper. Please arrive at your confirmed collection time. Our team will provide your food relief parcel and record the collection on our Good Food Hub Register.
Why we use a weekly collection system
Food supplies vary from week to week and demand for food relief can be high. Our weekly collection system helps us:
- Support more local households
- Distribute food fairly
- Avoid multiple collections by the same household
- Monitor demand for food relief
- Ensure we have accurate information about the number of people we are supporting
- Identify when additional food and funding are needed within our community
All information provided through the Food Relief Booking Form will be used to administer the service, monitor demand and support our reporting requirements. We will only collect information that is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
Thank you for helping us ensure our limited food relief resources reach as many people in our community as possible.
